Impact Challenge

How it works

1. Applications

  • Clubs submit an online application before the conference.
  • Each club selects one project category: Empower People, Impact Communities, or Create Opportunities.
  • A panel reviews applications and selects six projects to present: two from each category.

2. Presentation format

  • Each club has 3 minutes to pitch their project to the Impact Challenge Panel.
  • The panel then has 4 minutes to ask questions, clarify details, and explore the project’s potential impact.

3. Session structure

The Impact Challenge runs over three separate sessions during the conference.

  • Session 1: Empower People — 2 clubs present

  • Session 2: Impact Communities — 2 clubs present

  • Session 3: Create Opportunities — 2 clubs present

4. Audience participation

  • A club representative collects a voting form from the Registration Desk.

  • Voting forms are completed and lodged after the presentations.

5. Prizes and sponsorship

  • The Impact Challenge Panel selects the winning project.

  • The winning club receives a $5,000 seeding fund to support the project.

  • The People’s Choice prize of $500 goes to the project selected by voting club members.
