RYPEN 2024 - Final Details Coming Soon!

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)

RYPEN is a residential weekend-long program delivering leadership training for 14 - 16 years olds (Grades 9 - 11). Over the course of the program we focus on building Resilience, Communication, Teamwork, Responsibility of Self, Habit Formation, Community Advocacy, Trust and Mindfulness Skills.

RYPEN is an incredibly valuable and unique experience for the participants which allows them to engage with like-minded people, discover their values and grow their communication and leadership skills, all whilst having fun!

We’re incredibly proud of the RYPEN Program. We genuinely believe in what we do and we’ve seen firsthand the impact of the outcomes we achieve. Whilst we could talk about the benefits of the program all day, we thought it might be more impactful to hear from one of our past participants.

The following heart-felt words from Brooke, a past participant of the program, sum up RYPEN very nicely -

“… I have found confidence in myself that I never thought I had. I recommend this camp to every teenager because it shows you a different perspective on how you communicate with people. The activities have been very challenging and I pushed myself in ways I didn’t even realise I could… ”

If you know a young person aged 14-16 who has a high amount of potential across a range of areas and just needs to be shown that they can be exceptional, why not recommend they attend RYPEN – it might just change their life.

Maximum Participant Numbers:

RYPEN 2024 has a hard limit of 40 participants. I’d recommend getting your participant's applications in quickly to secure your place and avoid disappointment.

Leader Sponsorship:

If you are unable to sponsor a participant this year, we highly encourage you to consider sponsoring a leader or making a contribution towards the cost of sponsoring a leader. Our leaders are integral to delivering the RYPEN Program and we couldn't do what we do and have the positive impact we have on the lives of young individuals without them. Should you wish to pursue this option, please reach out for more information.

What is RYPEN?

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) provides valuable leadership training in:

  • Effectve and assertive communication
  • Stress management
  • Self esteem
  • Personal values
  • Goal setting
  • Decision making
  • Responsibility of self

Who Can Attend RYPEN?

If you are 14-16 years old, like having fun and learning new things, and haven't previously attended a RYPEN camp, we encourage you to apply by contacting us using the contact button below.

How Does RYPEN Work?

This residential weekend long program will see you engage with like-minded people, discover your values, build communication and leadership skills all whilst having fun! You will also get the chance to put your new-found skills to practical use!

Sponsorship

Each participant on RYPEN is either sponsored by a Rotary club, a local business or by their family. As a starting point, contact your local Rotary club and ask if they will sponsor you. The organising committee can also assist with this process.

Transport

Participants will be transported by bus to and from the RYPEN venue. Every participant must travel to and from the event on the bus provided. This is integral to ensuring the creation of a working dynamic prior to reaching the venue.

What's on the Program?
