Urgent Appeal: Catastrophic Floods in Nepal

A catastrophic flash flood has swept through northern Nepal, including the Rasuwa district, killing hundreds of people and leaving many thousands homeless. More than 1400 people are still missing as entire villages have been destroyed by the floodwaters.

The speed and force of the flood caught everyone completely off guard. Homes were engulfed in seconds, leaving families with little chance to escape. Those who managed to reach safety could only watch as their homes, belongings and livelihoods were swept away.

The situation is urgent. Families need safe shelter now. Please donate today.

ShelterBox is responding, and we're working hard to find out how we can best support people affected by the flood. We’re ready to provide emergency aid, such as thermal blankets, water filters, and family tents. As soon as we know more about the needs of the communities affected, we’ll let you know. We cannot do it without your support.

However, the danger isn't over. There is a risk of further flash flooding in the region, putting even more lives at risk and communities in danger.

Our hearts go out to all those affected in Nepal and around the globe.

Please give what you can today. Your donation will help provide emergency shelter and support for families who have lost their homes to the devastating floods in Nepal.

Please accept my sincere thanks if you have recently given.

Thank you for your support,
