The Santos Science Experience is a fun 2 - 4 days of science activities for Year 9 and 10 students, at university locations across the south east corner of Queensland from Brisbane, to Ipswich and Toowoomba.

Each program is designed to provide students who have an interest in science with an opportunity to engage in a wide range of fascinating science activities under the guidance of scientists who love their work.

The program takes place within tertiary institutions, with participants performing hands-on experiments in the laboratories, meeting and hearing senior lecturers in the lecture theatres, attending site visits, and just walking around and experiencing what it is like to be on a university campus.

The program also provides information about further studies in science, technology and engineering. It highlights the wide range of careers that allow students to pursue their interest and abilities in the sciences.

The courses are running in Brisbane based universities (University of Qld, QUT, and Griffith Uni) are holding courses from 18-20 January.  Applications to The Science Experience 2022 close 10th December 2021.

Clubs are encouraged to engage with local schools and promote this opportunity.  Costs vary depending upon the number of days that the course runs – for a 3-day course (like in Brisbane) its $190.  Rotary clubs may choose to assist with partial or full scholarships, but applications need to go direct to The Science Experience.
