Last year our District won the inter-District challenge for raising the donations to ShelterBox on the December International Day.  This was a great effort by District, the clubs and individuals.  Quite an honour demonstrating our Districts support to Rotary’s partner in Disaster Relief.

So can we win again.

Now is the time to donate to ShelterBox.

Once again, to mark World Human Rights Day and promote shelter as a human right, Shelter Box Australia be holding their annual Giving Day on Friday 9th December.

With over 100 million people made homeless by disaster and conflict, Rotary and ShelterBox continue to raise awareness of the issue with the #ShelterIsAHumanRight campaign as a key strategy.

Right now, ShelterBox is busy in Pakistan, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Syria, Yemen and the Lake Chad Basin, where hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee their homes. With the cyclone season coming up in our region there will likely be shelter needs arising closer to us.

So let’s see what we can do to continue our Districts strong support of this important partnership between Rotary and ShelterBox.

MAKE DONATIONS THIS WEEK AND THEY WILL BE DOUBLED.

You don't have to wait until 9th Dec to make a difference. Now, more than ever, shelter saves lives; let’s give our support (and win the district challenge again). Make sure you include your club and district in the donation.

Donations can also be made electronically by Bank transfer to the following account
