DGE Paul recently attend his final training at the RI International Assembly in Orlando Florida from 8 to 12 January 2023. This is a mandatory training session for all DGEs and partners are invited. Both Paul and Sue attended the full Assembly meeting many of the 554 DGEs from around the world and their partners. The highlight of the IA each year is the first morning plenary session where the RI President Elect announces the theme for the coming Rotary year. At this year’s Assembly incoming RI President Gordan McInally gave an excellent speech introducing his theme of ‘Create Hope in the World’. DGE Paul encourages all members to take 8 minutes of their time to watch President Gordon’s address to understand the background to the theme and it relevance not only to Rotary but also to every individual member in these challenging times.
