DESCRIPTION:The Gympie Rotary HERITAGE MAKERS FAIR is a celebration of exc
 ellence of heritage craftsmanship\, an opportunity to meet the makers of
  over 75 heritage trades\, fibre and textile arts\; a showcase of excepti
 onal quilting and artisanal exhibits\; non-stop demonstrations by artisans
  gathered together onsite. Attracting visitors\, exhibitors and artisans f
 rom far and wide\, the event is the largest of its kind in Queensland.  C

 ating blacksmithing\, gem & silversmithing\, coppersmithing\, coopering\,
  cane weaving\, lamp work\, mosaic ad leadlight arts\, bookbinding\, pr
 inting\, ropemaking - the Woodwork Arena\, masters of woodcarving and tur
 ning\, luthers\, spoonsmiths\, whittling\, pyrography\, scrollsawing and m
 ore - Wheelwright Arena - daily shows with a master 3rd generation wheelwr
 ight - Fibre\, Textile & Domestic Arts venue\, basketweaving\, wheat weav

  as the Gympie Rattler\, Woodworks Museum\, Gympie Mining Museum and Studi
 o Trails\, showcasing the skills of our local craftspeople\; artisan\, he
 ritage and historic communities.    Hosted by the Gympie Rotary Club\, t
 he Heritage Makers Fair partners with many volunteer community groups and 
 charities who provide services at and for the event. This assists greatly
